WHAT DOES THE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN DO?
The Maintenance Technician can expect a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance requests are completed. Perform heating and air-conditioning related repairs, snow removal, etc. You will assist with making vacant apartments ready for move-in. Ensure completion of all resident work orders. In general, the Maintenance Technician has a good level of knowledge and experience in the following areas: HVAC experience and certification preferred, Plumbing, Painting, Drywall Repair, Electrical and Customer Service.
Successful candidates will possess strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently are a must. Effective communication skills will be key in collaborating with fellow team members and updating supervisors and tenants on tasks. A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities is crucial.
Prior experience of 1-2 years is preferred. A positive, outgoingness, friendliness, reliability and a passion for helping others will help you be successful in this position. You must be responsible for taking calls for after-hours emergency maintenance.
